Tells the tale of the flattest singer ever to sell out Carnegie Hall; to boot it’s based on a true story. Jenkins was a lifetime music lover and one-time hopeful pianist who did in fact sell out Carnegie Hall in 1944 and was something of a cult sensation, if a fairly ironic one, due to little actual singing ability. Spurred on by a small army of enablers and carefully guarded and vetted performances from the singing phenom, Jenkins went on for a while without much of a commotion – likely aided by Jenkins’ generous disposable income.
